Alaskan Malamutes
The first mal I laid eye’s on was a large white male – the memory of that day has lasted a long time and started my passion for a wonderful breed.
I purchased my first mal in 1989 and they have been apart of my family ever since.
Laskana Arctic Cheetah – ‘Nikki’ was the best four legged friend one could wish for, when getting to know a new member of the family.
The following year Amarock Aces Eagle – “Maverick” joined the clan.
Mav as we affectionately called him was THE most amazing dog. This big sable male was wonderful to show, a great companion and the best education to the breed I could ever ask for.
Many years later now, Nikki & Mav and the others that followed in their paw prints have crossed the Rainbow Bridge and a new generation has come to be a part of my life.
After adding Samoyed to the family but still wanting another Malamute Chimo Apollo came to reside at Alaskamal and for this I am very thankful.

This stunning dog has had a limited show career to date.
I am happy to say that is all changing now !!
Daytona made his show debut in June 2008 and placed second to his litter brother Lincoln on his first day out !!
Due to my ill health in his first 12 months I didn’t get him in the ring often ,although when there his presence was felt, taking out Puppy of Group- Royal Melbourne Show on his 3rd day out.
He is a lovely structured dog, with a dark eye, sound movement and a fantastic temperament.
